Employees
People are the hart of every company, also at One Planet. The office in Amersfoort is the centre of a network of relationships and projects committed to sustainability. Here we have a ‘mini business park’ with work-places, meeting-venues and offices where projects could be worked on. Should one project develop into a new Ltd, the people could get their own office in the business park. Most projects are manned by experienced project leaders who, along with their initiatives for sustainability, also expand other professional activities. One Planet is therefore a network organisation, with Stationsplein 16 as the central point.
All in all, we are a small but driven team with green ideas and big ambitions. Subsidies and donations
One Planet Foundation is a registered green non-profit organisation that is dedicated to using donations to develop innovative concepts and sustainable projects in the foundation. When these ideas and projects are developed to such an extent that they are able to attract external investors, they are placed outside of the foundation. They would then be developed in a new co-operative context or start-ups and be brought to the market. The initial investment by the Foundation would be bought out and this money would be returned to the Foundation to develop new initiatives. The Foundation might also retain a small share in one of the independent start-ups in order to obtain a minimal income. Our internal operation characterises itself as being ‘lean and mean’; our overhead costs are very low which means that we are able to invest nearly 95% of our income in specific projects. Some of our funds are also used for internal projects such as establishing the One Planet Network and the advancement of the business park as a platform for innovation and sustainability. Financial donations and subsidies will always be used to enlarge internal capital and as starting capital for our projects. In this way we intend to be a sustainable connection between subsidies and the commercial market.
Investors
If you believe in us and our projects then we would like to welcome you as an investor in one of our specific projects or in the Foundation itself. All investments, in the form of time, knowledge, finance or other worthwhile contributions, are welcome. In order to be developed and marketed our projects need various contributions. We would like to enter into discussions to see where we could contribute. For financial investors we could divide a project into phases and come to an agreement about the value of the contribution. After that, it would be examined as to what share would be advisable when the project comes on the market and generates an income. You could either enter early when the risks are high and so also the potential profits or when the project has already proven itself and the risks as well as the profits are much lower. Perhaps one of our projects is already in the precommercial phase and you are interested in purchasing shares? In that case you pay a premium for the work that has already been done for the development and marketing of the product.
Volunteers
One Planet Foundation does not have an adequate budget to pay for all its internal costs. For this we are dependent on people and businesses who offer their time or their services at a lower tariff. The contribution of these partners and volunteers are invaluable.
We could offer volunteers the following:

- Free lunch and a reimbursement of expenses.
- A work-place that is highly accessible in Amersfoort.
